This position is responsible for the deploying elements of the Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) process. This assignment will be for the Aurora area APQP Deployment group.

The person in this position will be expected to use a specific suite of tools to execute the APQP process. These include Quality Function Deployment (QFD), Boundary Diagrams, Interface Analyses, Design Failure Mode and Effects Analyses (DFMEA's), A&B High Risk Parts Assessment, P-Diagrams, Noise Factor Management, and Design Verification Plans & Reports (DVP&R's) and CPI/NPI issues. The person in this position will help deliver a comprehensive list of recommended design actions, special process controls, and validation activities to mitigate high risk areas.

Requirements: 

  • Bachelor's Degree required. Mechanical Engineering or related degree preferred.
  • 8 years of product development experience required. 
  • APQP experience required. 
  • Microsoft Office Products required. 
  • SPC, Control plans experience preferred. 
  • Validation in testing experience preferred. 
  • Familiar with FEA analysis and CFD preferred. 
  • Experience in VisView/Creo preferred.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Detail Orientated.
  • Good follow-through in reporting.
  • Experience in facilitating meetings required.
