Depending on experience, responsibilities include:

  • Develop, modify, and implement computer applications software changes including integration tasks for in-house developed systems and/or purchased software solutions
  • Analyze user requests and software requirements for feasibility of design and potential impact while cognizant of time and cost constraints
  • Provide support to engine performance software development initiatives. Review existing software and understand new development needs
  • Design, code, test, and debug programs of varying levels of complexity
  • Work directly on application problem identification and resolution
  • Participate in integrated testing and user acceptance of application or infrastructure components
  • Define and implement processes, or process improvements, to aid in software development and support
  • Work with vendors on the integration of purchased application(s) and/or infrastructure
  • Assists customers with documentation, training, and usability efforts
  • Document process, architecture, and lessons learned
  • Support with data gathering, cleansing, management, and data analysis
  • Provide programming, systems leadership, guidance, and assistance to other team members


  • Bachelor's degree in IT, computer science, applications or engineering related field is required
  • At least 5 years of experience is required
  • Strong knowledge of information systems, data architecture, IT and systems structure
  • Knowledge of the latest technology in programming languages, computing hardware and software and current development processes and tools
  • Knowledge of the full software development lifecycle: from business/systems analysis, through requirements gathering and functional specification authoring, to development, testing and delivery is desired
  • Experience with data migration, software development and issue resolution is desired
  • Must be comfortable working with large data sets and have good understanding of data manipulation and cleansing techniques
  • Ability to work both independently and with a cooperative team on complex projects that may span multiple infrastructure components or applications
  • SQL programming - Teradata, Oracle Computer programming - Python, Matlab, Visual Basic experience is desired
  • Preferred programming languages: JavaScript/ JSP, SQL, DB2, IMS, .Net, - C/ C++/ C#/ C/ITK (Teamcenter), Sterling Integrator, HTML/ Web Content Management/ CSS, Cobol/ JCLJavaScript/ JSP, SQL, DB2, IMS, .Net, - C/ C++/ C#/ C/ITK (Teamcenter), Sterling Integrator, HTML/ Web Content Management/ CSS, Cobol/ JCL
  • Agile Product Methodology is desired, but not required
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications and general computer software
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and to meet deadlines is required
  • Analytical, technical, and problem solving skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • High energy and a demonstrated ability to implement and get results are essential
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are required
  • Must enjoy working in a team environment, and have strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
  • Strong customer service abilities
  • Professional attitude, willingness to learn is required
